I regret, the results of the bone marrow aspiration I thought I'd hear about yesterday never came in. Otherwise, it's more of the same news.. he continues to get better in all areas of his health. His usual doctor has gone on vacation, leaving someone else to handle Dad (I'm not sure who). We still feel he'll be out sometime in the beginning of the week, although we don't know when.
Meanwhile, I hope some of you had the chance to register with the Bone Marrow Registry today, if you're in the Charlotte area. I regret, I didn't get the information as to where it was going to be held (Channel 9 News sponsored it), so if you were interested, I apologize. However, it's still possible to register.. it'll simply cost $60 to cover the actual testing (it would be the only expense). Or you could wait until next time they do this. My sister registered with them today, but I cannot (they won't accept me).
If you've tried to contact Dad today, but couldn't get through, understand that we pulled the phone off-line.. the more rest he gets, the faster he gets out of the hospital... and he's tired of being in the hospital. Thank you all for your patience, restraint, and support through all of this. I don't doubt we'll probably have some kind of party when he's better able to handle it. You may compare today's against yesterday's results.
