Dad had another doctor's appointment (or two) today. It went pretty well. One of them took Dad off the antibiotics he was on, since the chest wound is healed well enough not to require it. There's a chance that a lot of the unpleasant things he's had to deal with (nasty tasting food, weakness, tiredness, etc) were caused by these antibiotics, so we may start to see more significant improvements in his overall health soon. We were concerned that his blood pressure was extremely low today, although I'm not sure what that means.. although I know it's caused him to feel rather dizzy today. Mostly, though, the doctor's appointments were for various tests.
I know many of you will want to call and visit, and we would enjoy that, but understand that he's still pretty weak, and needs time to heal. Please try not to call or visit (no exceptions) until you hear otherwise, either from my sister, myself, or Dad (if he should call you). If you absolutely must get some kind of word to him, please send him email, and be patient when waiting for a response.
Again, he's doing well, but he's very weak.. that's really the only reason for limiting his visits and phone calls.
