Dad's toxicity from the kidneys are the same, but he's acting clearer than yesterday. Christy has had a few coherent conversations with him. He won't be on dialyses today, but tomorrow he will (probably for a couple of hours again). They've started giving him a little bit of physical therapy so he can get his strength back up. He has, of course, complained that the food tastes like something wrought from the imagination of Ed Wood, so we bought some soup for him to eat (Campbell's soup, for the curious.. but the professional kind that restaurants use).

Because visits would wear him down, we're asking that folks neither call nor try to visit him until you hear otherwise. If you've tried to contact him today, but couldn't get through, understand that we pulled the phone off-line.. he truly needs his rest.

On the positive side, his platelets and white blood cells are both in the middle of the normal range.. only the hemoglobins are low. Also, the (let's see if I can spell this) amphiterricin has been killing the infection quite well. Amphiterricin, if I've spelled it correctly, is the antibiotic that's caused his kidneys to fail. You may compare today's against yesterday's results.
